Where it all began...
At the age of 7, I started learning to play a musical instrument. It was not the drums however, and that is a different story for a different time.
3 years later I picked up a pair of drumsticks,
fell in love, and have been playing drums and percussion in various forms ever since.
Where and what...
For the last 30 years plus, I have played percussion in a number of orchestras, concert and brass bands, and played drumkit in many jazz, rock, punk, funk and metal bands in many variations and combinations of them all around the world.
Learning from the best...
In the early noughties I worked for a major drum shop in North London, where I had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best drummers in the music industry.
I can now pass on their valuable insights including kit set up, gig survival and many more vital pieces of insider advice.
